                                                                                                                               Oct. 29, 2012
Dear Mom (Dad, Auntie, etc.),
This week, we're starting our TZ Project in Ms. Ware's class. She wants me to let you know a few things about this project ahead of time.
If you have any questions, please email her at cware@ojaiusd.org.
  • Some of the work we do for this project will be done outside of class. Over the course of the next two weeks, I might need a ride or two to one of my group member's houses for practice and/or filming.
  • Do we have a video camera and/or a video editing program on our computer? If so, would it be possible for us to use it on our project?
Since having you read this letter is tonight's HW, would you please sign and date it at the bottom so I can get credit for sharing it with you? Thank you!
                                                                                                                                     Love,

This interview below from 1959 may give you some insights.

"Monsters" Flash Cards

Hi! I apologize for being a little late (4:25 instead of 4:00). Thank you for your patience and for checking back.

HW = Make "Monsters" flash cards. They're here for you below. Make sure to write the word on the front, and the definition on the back. If there's no part of speech shown, you don't need one on your card because some of these are terms, not singular words.

See you tomorrow! By the way, if you see a little gray box next to the flash cards, right click on your mouse and click on "Run this plug-in." That should make your cards interactive.

Checklist for FD Rat's POV

Before you turn in your FD tomorrow, make sure:

  • Your story is very well proofread. It's always helpful to read it aloud to someone because then you can hear any errors you may have previously overlooked.
  • You have an original title, not: Rat's POV.
  • Your name, period, and date are in the upper right hand corner.
  • Your pages are stapled together.
  • You have paragraphed! I won't accept any unparagraphed pieces of writing.
  • You've described incidents and characters vividly.
  • You've indented every single time a new character speaks.
  • You've kept your tenses consistent. Most often, using the past tense works best.
